I did it….I went to New York for Fashion Week!! 😀

The first fashion show I went to was for Couture Fashion Week.  It’s a local NY show that features up and coming fashion designers from all over the world.  For this show, I opted to wear this sleek one armed dress from my favorite online boutique, Boohoo of course! 😉  I’ve never really been a fan of the “no white after Labor Day”rule, and I like to kind of do my own thing.  I figured that this debatable dress would be fabulous for the fashion week red carpet! 😉

The second show I attended was actually a show produced by local Detroiters, so of course I had to represent. 😉  I personally don’t feel like I’m the most physically fit and would never wear a crop top.  I originally ordered the skirt alone, and they accidently sent the crop top.  After sending a strongly worded email they later sent me the skirt free of charge. 😉  Since Fashion Week is all about pushing the envelope and being daring, I said f*ck it and decided to wear the set together.  I actually received a ton of compliments.  I guess it doesn’t look that bad; especially since I had just eaten Chipotle. 😛

I closed out the weekend with a brunch tailored to women bloggers.  I got a chance to mingle and swap advice from bloggers from the local Brooklyn area and even down in Orlando, FL.  This fitted midi dress was perfect for the brunch, which actually turned out to be a day party spot.

I had such a great time at #NYFW.  It all seems a blur now.  I feel like I took so much in and enjoyed myself so much that I didn’t really take any pictures.  Next time I promise to take more pics. lol
