March Madness!

The beauty of it being my birthday is that I get all types of coupons!  I love to shop, and using coupons make me want to shop more (if that’s even possible lol).  The crazy part is that my favorite bday coupon isn’t even for clothes…it’s for food!  I promise that $30 Benihana coupon is the holy grail of coupons.  I look forward to this coupon every birthday.  I get free food, but I also get a chance to get dressed up and hang out with friends.  What’s better than food and fashion with friends? 😉

Spring is slowly beginning to creep around the corner, and I couldn’t be more excited.   After months of freezing cold weather, we finally get a heat wave of a scorching 50 degrees.  It’s not as hot as Las Vegas or Miami, but after this past winter, I’ll take it.  The sun is out shining, and it’s a great day to be out soaking up the sunrays.  I chose to wear a skirt so that my legs could soak them up as well.  This berry color is so rich and eye-catching.  The velvet material of the skirt is perfect for this type of weather; I’m not too hot but there’s still enough warmth for the occasional breeze.  I’m slightly addicted to wearing bodysuits with my skirts now; it’s so much easier!  I don’t have to worry about the shirt shifting, and I don’t have to worry about the extra bulge where the two meet.  I put on my favorite neutral cape.  Whenever I wear bold colors like this berry one, I like to pair them with a softer color so it won’t clash or take away from it.  This way the focus is on my hat and skirt, but the cape and pumps still flatter it nicely.
