March Madness: Empowerment Dinner

March Madness!

Empowerment Dinner

I couldn’t be more proud of my fellow Crusader and Spartan Chatoya!  On Saturday, she celebrated her one year anniversary of her company A la carte Galore.  It’s a company that specializes in event, travel, financial, and career planning; it’s really a one stop shop!  Chatoya has really created a name for herself and has really flourished throughout her one year in operation.  To celebrate this great accomplishment she held an empowerment and networking mixer.  This event attracted local business owners and professionals from all different backgrounds and industries.  It was a huge success that left me feeling empowered, inspired and motivated! 😉  Much success to Chatoya, and be sure to check her out at A la Carte Galore.

My look for the mixer was very simple, chic.  You can never go wrong with a little black dress.  This shift dress is very basic and plain.  I dressed up the look with my Chanel inspired pin and long black and white pearl necklace.   And this was my first time wearing my ankle strap pumps.  They were surprisingly VERY comfortable.  But then again that’s why I like wearing Nine West.  I felt like an old fashioned Hollywood starlet: much like Audrey. 😉
