Remember when….

People have always told me that I have an old soul.  I’m sure this is because I spent so much time with my grandmother growing up.  I love listening to “oldies”, so it was no surprise that I got tickets to go to the 90s concert.  This decade had some of the greatest artists and songs of our time, even though I was around six years old back then.  I remember listening to Blackstreet on the radio.  I LOVED listening to SWV, even though I had no business singing some of their songs… 😛 .  Bell Biv Devoe’s Poison will FOREVER be my jam.  And After7’s Ready or Not is my favorite song of all time.  I can’t wait to sing it to my husband at our wedding. 😉  Ok…..as you see I can go on and on about how excited I am about this concert.  All these different artists singing all their songs from back in the day will definitely bring back some great memories!

When I think of the 90s, I remember being a little Catholic school girl wearing my cute little jumpers to school.  I kept this in mind when I searched for something to wear to the concert.  I came across this faux leather jumper on MissGuided.  I thought that it was really cute.  It’s a more grown up spill on my childhood clothes.  The best part about the jumper….IT HAS POCKETS!!  Who doesn’t love pockets??  I decided to wear an off the shoulder top to add a little age to the outfit.  And my mid calf boots are my favs.  I think it’s very flattering when women with thicker calves wear mid calf boots, especially with skirts and dresses.  Watch out for the big girls! 😛
