It’s officially the new year, and what better way to round off a great weekend than with the Broadway show Wicked?!
I am such a huge fan of Broadway shows, and when I heard that Wicked would be in Detroit, I jumped on the chance to attend. It’s the untold story of the wicked witch of Oz, so I knew we would be in for a treat! I have always found it fascinating that The Wizard Of Oz was based around a pair of SICK ruby red pumps, or maybe that’s just all I got from it(lol). Either way, Wicked was a great show, and I recommend all to see it. 🙂
I wanted to look chic and comfortable at the same time. So, I opted to wear my black bodysuit and white faux leather skirt, both from boohoo.com. I don’t know why, but I love to wear black and white together. To me, it seems so elegant and timeless. It reminds me of the fashion in the early 1920s and 30s. I put on my six inch suede platform pumps to add that extra umph. I usually don’t wear platform pumps(because I fell at the gas station….don’t laugh), but these are one of my favs. They are SO comfortable and complement any look. Finally, I decided to pull my hair back and add a ruby woo lip to finish off this sophisticated look.

P.S. I love wearing white after Labor Day 😉

Super cute! I hope they still have this skirt….headed to check right now!
The white is sold out but they still have a few sizes in black 😉
